Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī (صحیح البخاری) is a major collection of hadith (sayings, actions, approvals of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), compiled by Imām Muhammad ibn Ismāʿīl al-Bukhārī (810-870 CE; 194-256 AH).
Its full title is Al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaḥīḥ al-Musnad al-Mukhtaṣar min Umūr Rasūl Allāh wa Sunanihi wa Ayyāmihi — meaning roughly, “The Authentic, Abridged Collection with Musnad (connected chains), covering the matters of the Messenger, his Sunnah and his times.”
