Norani Qaida

Noorani Qaida is a step-by-step guide that helps learners:

  • Recognize Arabic letters

  • Learn how to join them into words

  • Apply the basic rules of Tajweed (pronunciation)

  • Build fluency before starting actual Qur’an recitation

It was originally compiled by Molvi Noor Muhammad Ludhyanvi (رحمه الله), an Indian scholar, and has since become a standard text in Qur’an learning worldwide.

 Noorani Qaida Course

  1. Correct Pronunciation (Makhaarij)

    • You learn how to pronounce Arabic letters properly from their articulation points.

    • Avoid mispronunciations that might change the meanings of words.

  2. Foundation for Tajweed Rules

    • Qaida introduces you to the basic rules of Tajweed (rules governing correct recitation) gradually.

    • This foundation makes advanced Tajweed learning easier.

    • Familiarity with Quranic Vocabulary

    • While learning Qaida, you encounter many words used in the Quran, so you build recognition of Quranic vocabulary early.

  3. Fluency & Smooth Recitation

    • With correct pronunciation and knowledge of rules, your recitation becomes more fluent and smooth.

    • Reduces stuttering over difficult letters or words. (Implicit in many sources)

  4. Confidence in Reading

    • As you progress and master lessons, your confidence grows to recite in front of others.

    • Mistakes reduce, so you feel more comfortable reading aloud.

  5. Better Arabic Writing & Recognition

    • Recognizing letters in their various forms (beginning, middle, end) improves reading and writing.

    • Helps you see how letters join in words.

  6. Preparation for Advanced Quran Studies

    • After Qaida, you can move to full Quran recitation with Tajweed, memorization (Hifz), or Tafsir more easily.

    • It’s essentially the first stepping stone in Quran learning.

    • Accessible for All Ages & Levels

      • Both children and adults benefit. Even if someone never studied Arabic, Qaida helps them start from basics.

      • It’s flexible: learners go at their own pace.
